The results of the XXV National Award “Product of the Year 2023” in 48 nominations have been summed up
The 25th anniversary ceremony of awarding the National Prize “Product of the Year” took place in Moscow. The award is awarded annually to manufacturers of the most popular consumer goods among the population. The event traditionally brought together representatives of the largest domestic companies in one place.
The founder and director of the award, Vadim Zuikov, noted the rise of domestic brands, the emergence of new brands and the redistribution of buyer interests. “This, perhaps, has not happened since the creation of the award,” he emphasized.
The “Product of the Year” icon – a bright elongated star on product packaging – has become recognizable among customers. According to opinion polls, the presence of this sign increases trust in the brand.
Most of the 2023 winners are brands exclusively of Russian origin. For example, in the “Russian-made Vodka” category, the FINSKY ICE trademark from the Elbrus Spirits company won.
Other winners of the “Product of the Year” include both well-known federal brands (for example, “Golden Seed” butter and “Pava-Pava” turkey) and relatively little-known brands: “Vladimirsky Standard”, “Altufyevo Confectionery House”.
Despite the “sanctions war”, the prize partially retains its international status. Foreign manufacturers were also awarded the “Product of the Year” badge in 7 categories. Among them, in particular, are such brands of medicines as “Nazivin”, “Nise”, etc.
Meanwhile, the results of the award once again confirm: the departure of many Western firms from the domestic market is an excellent chance for the development of their own production.
