Gladkov spoke about the consequences of shelling Shebekino

“Shebekino came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The shells damaged the trading rows in the market. There were no casualties. Operational services are in place, the administration continues to bypass the territory,” he wrote. Gladkov also published photographs of the aftermath of the shelling.

Earlier, the authorities of the region reported that more than 400 houses had already been damaged as a result of constant shelling by the Armed Forces of the city of Shebekino.

“To date, destruction of varying degrees has been recorded in 409 residential premises. In 40% of cases, everything is completely restored. Receipts were taken from homeowners that there are no complaints about the quality, ”Gladkov wrote on January 12.

Prior to that, the governor reported about the shelling of Shebekino on January 10. As a result, six people were injured, one of them was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. On January 11, the village of Stary Khutor, Valuysky urban district, was shelled.

A “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat has now been introduced in the Belgorod region, it is valid until January 20. In April 2022, six of the seven border regions introduced such a regime. In addition, since October 19, 2022, the “medium response” regime has been operating in the region, which, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has been extended to eight border regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions (some of they were subjected to shelling from Ukraine).
