Gladkov said that less than 3,000 people remain in Shebekino

2703 people remain in Shebekino, Belgorod region, residents who do not want to evacuate receive water and food, informed Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
Gladkov in his Telegram channel said that the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko, arrived in the region, together they visited the Shebekinsky district, which has been shelled by Ukraine in recent days.
“We walked around the city, talked to the residents. To date, 2,703 people remain in Shebekino. There is humanitarian aid – the administration and volunteers deliver water and necessary food,” Gladkov wrote.
More than 39,000 people lived in Shebekino, according to 2021 data. About 170 people remain in Novaya Tavolzhanka, according to the governor.
In early June, the shelling of the Belgorod region became more frequent. In particular, on June 1, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired a record 850 shells in the Shebekinsky District. On June 6, the press service of United Russia, citing Governor Gladkov, reported that almost 60,000 people had been evacuated from the shelled territories, more than 8,000 of them are in temporary accommodation centers (TAPs).
In the Belgorod region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger is indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the “medium level of response” has been established in the region. The same regime operates in seven other subjects of the Russian Federation – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.
