The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the village of Novopetrovka in the Belgorod region. About it informed Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel.
“Today, the village of Novopetrovka, Valuysky urban district, fell under the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties,” he said.
As a result of hitting one of the shells, the garage caught fire, Gladkov noted. Fragments of another shell damaged the facade and shattered windows in a private residential building. The governor added that information about the destruction is being specified. Currently, operational and emergency services are working at the scene.
On July 29, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired over 70 shells in the Belgorod region, Gladkov reported. July 30 under fire hit village of Prilesye, Krasnoyarzhsky district. As a result, no one was hurt, but two private houses and a power line were damaged.
The Belgorod region is regularly shelled by Ukraine. A high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat operates in the region indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the average level of response has been set in the region.
