Gladkov reported damage to power lines during the shelling of the Belgorod region

The border Volokonovsky district of the Belgorod region on May 21 came under fire from Ukraine, the village of Tishanka and the farm of Shakhovka were partially left without electricity due to damage to the power line, the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

“One of the settlements in the Volokonovsky district fell under the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There were no casualties. There is damage to the power line, the village of Tishanka and the farm of Shakhovka remain partially without electricity,” wrote he is in his Telegram channel.

In the near future, teams of electricians will begin restoration work, Gladkov added. Earlier today, the villages of Tishanka and Novaya Tavolzhanka came under shelling from Ukraine, and there were no casualties. In Tishanka, a shell damaged the office of a family doctor, and in the second village, shell fragments cut through the roof, facade and fence in two houses, the head of the region said. In addition, on Sunday, the air defense system shot down a drone, the consequences were not reported.

May 21 Governor of the Belgorod Region announced, which decided to publish daily reports of shelling in the region due to the increase in the number of fakes. According to him, only in the last week there were “stuffings about both tanks and DRGs.”

In the Belgorod region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger is indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the average level of response has been set in the region. The same regime operates in seven other regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.
