Gladkov: Poles and Americans were in the DRG that attacked the Belgorod Region

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, according to eyewitnesses, said that the group of saboteurs who attacked the region consisted of Poles, Americans and Ukrainians. About this he wrote in my Telegram channel.

“It is especially difficult, of course, for the wife of a deceased member of the self-defense, in whose eyes her husband was killed. She was actually in captivity, she was bleeding, it was not even possible to drink. She was held hostage by two Ukrainians, the rest, in her words, were Poles and Americans,” Gladkov said.

The governor of the border region visited the victims in Graivoron and Shebekinsky districts, including wounded children in Shebekino. “A boy and a girl were walking, holding hands, a shell flies in – a shell shock in a boy, a serious injury in a girl,” he said.

According to him, after the shell hit, the boy “carried her out of the shelling zone in his arms.” He also called him “a model for all the boys” and “a model for many adults.”

Gladkov also mentioned the head of the Kozinka settlement, Igor Makhovenko, whose car was fired at “point-blank range.” “Despite this, he did not hide, he provided assistance not only to the residents of Kozinka, but also to neighboring Glotovo,” the governor emphasized.

On May 22, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) penetrated into the Belgorod region, after which a counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime was conducted there. As a result of the CTO, according to the Ministry of Defense, more than 70 saboteurs, four combat armored vehicles and five pickup trucks were destroyed.

In the Belgorod region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger is indefinitely. In addition, since October 19, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the average level of response has been set in the region. The same regime operates in seven other regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.

In early February, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the Defense Ministry to prevent shelling of Russia’s border regions. He also repeatedly pointed out that the response to Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory would be harsh.
