Gladkov: four people were injured in the shelling of cluster munitions

Four people were injured by shrapnel during Ukrainian shelling of the village of Urazovo, Belgorod region, with cluster munitions, said the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine fired with Grad shells at the village of Urazovo, Valuysky urban district. Cluster munitions hit private residences and the territory of an agricultural store,” wrote the head of the region in his Telegram channel.

According to preliminary information from the authorities, three men and one woman were injured in the attack and were taken to the district hospital. The shelling also damaged several residential buildings and cars, operational and emergency services are working on the spot, Gladkov added.

On the morning of August 23, Gladkov reported that the village of Lavy, Valuisky district, had come under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine: two grenades were dropped from a drone on the territory of the sanatorium. As a result, nearby buildings were damaged, four windows were knocked out, the facade of the building was slashed. On the same day, the village came under repeated shelling, died three persons. According to the governor, Ukrainian servicemen dropped an explosive device from a drone while people were on the street. As a result, two men died on the spot, another person died already in the hospital.

The Belgorod region, as well as other border regions, are subject to regular shelling from Ukraine. At present, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger operates in the region indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the average level of response has been set in the region.
