Gladkov denied reports of a Mi-8 helicopter crash near Prokhorovka

The governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov denied the information about the crash of the Mi-8 helicopter near Prokhorovka on May 22. The broadcast was conducted on the page of the head of the region in VKontakte.

“The helicopter did not crash in the Prokhorovsky district,” he said, answering questions from residents of the region.

On May 22, the Telegram channel Baza reported that the security services were checking information about a helicopter crash near Prokhorovka. For a long time, it was about the Mi-8. According to the resource, the place of a possible fall was 100 km from the border. According to preliminary information, the incident is not related to the penetration of Ukrainian saboteurs into the Belgorod region, Baza wrote. A teenager reported the crash to emergency services, the channel wrote. He allegedly witnessed the helicopter crash.

Later, the channel clarified that the information about the crash was not confirmed. According to Baza, rescuers examined three fields in the area of ​​​​a possible crash site, but the helicopter was never found. Earlier today, Baza reported on a possible crash of a Mi-8 helicopter at night in the Kozinki area in the Graivoronsky district, where Ukrainian saboteurs penetrated. There is no official confirmation of this information.

May 22 sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked to the Belgorod region. The authorities of the region have introduced a regime of counter-terrorist operation, earlier today it removed. As a result of the incident, 13 residents of the region were injured.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation connected the incident with the defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artemovsk. During the CTO, the Ukrainian DRG was liquidated and defeated. As a result, more than 70 saboteurs, four combat armored vehicles and five pickups were destroyed. clarified in the department.

On the fact of the attack on the Belgorod region of the RF IC aroused criminal case under six articles: 205, 317, 105, 167, 222 and 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act, encroachment on the life of law enforcement officers, attempted murder, intentional destruction or damage to property, illegal trafficking in weapons and explosives).

In the Kremlin declared that the members of the Ukrainian DRG who entered the territory of Russia are Ukrainian militants. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov did not disclose the number of saboteurs and their identities. He also stressed that the special operation will continue in order to “prevent such infiltrations in the future” and stop the activities of Ukrainian militants against Russia.
