Gladkov announced the death of two women as a result of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Two women died during the shelling of Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region by Ukraine, there are also victims, informed in his Telegram channel, the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

According to him, the settlements of the district have been under fire since the morning of Saturday, June 3. In the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, an elderly woman died, another resident of the village received shrapnel wounds to her left shoulder, she was taken to the hospital. Two houses in the village were damaged: windows were shattered and facades were cut, Gladkov said.

In the village of Bezlyudovka, a woman also died from shrapnel wounds. In addition, a man was injured in the chest, arms and legs, he is in the traumatology department of the city hospital No. 2, the governor specified. Later, the authorities of the region reported that the outskirts of the village of Tishanka, Volokonovsky district, came under the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The shelling of the Belgorod region has intensified in recent days. Earlier in May, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine sank into the region. Subsequently, the Russian military drove the Ukrainian saboteurs out of the region. The losses of the enemy amounted to more than 70 people, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.

In the Belgorod region, the “yellow” level of terrorist danger is indefinitely valid. Also, from October 19, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, a medium-level response regime was introduced in the region.

In early February, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the Defense Ministry to prevent shelling of Russia’s border regions. He also repeatedly pointed out that the response to Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory would be harsh.
