During the shelling of the border crossing in the village of Kozinka, Graivoron urban district, Belgorod region, a woman received a slight concussion, informed Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on his Telegram channel.
“There is one victim, an 85-year-old grandmother with a slight concussion. Her house is located near the site of the shelling. The injury was received from a blast wave. Now she has been taken to the central district hospital. All necessary medical care is being provided,” he wrote.
Also Gladkov informed that an air defense system worked over the Valuysky district. According to preliminary data, no victims.
On May 22, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group entered Russia through the Kozinka international checkpoint in the Belgorod Region. During the counter-terrorist operation (the CTO regime in the region was introduced later that day), the enemy was blocked and defeated by air and artillery strikes, as well as by the active actions of border guards, informed Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. The remnants of the militants were forced into the territory of Ukraine and liquidated, he said. According to Shoigu, more than 70 saboteurs were killed.
