Repke: Ukraine’s chances of returning territories are approaching zero

Military analyst for the German publication Bild Julian Repke wrote on his account on the X network that Ukraine’s chances of returning lost territories in the next few years are approaching zero. He called this an “unpopular opinion” and voiced two scenarios for the development of events.

According to Repke, the West could help Ukraine implement its plans, but will not do so. According to him, “Ukraine’s victory is not in the interests” of those who could contribute to it.

In this regard, the expert believes that the development of events for Ukraine will follow the following scenarios.

The first of them is stabilization of the front through major military efforts. According to him, the United States, Germany and other important NATO countries adhere to this plan. This scenario, Roepke believes, will destroy Ukraine economically and, above all, demographically and will establish a border within Ukraine for several years.

The second scenario is further territorial losses due to Russian offensive actions. Roepke admits that this scenario could lead to the opening of other fronts in Europe.

At the same time, the analyst called talk about “freezing the conflict as a result of negotiations” “wishful thinking.”

Repke added that Ukraine can change these scenarios only if it mobilizes at least 300 thousand soldiers within a year, and the quality and quantity of supplies of Western weapons changes dramatically.
