Tagesschau: even sending a million artillery shells will not help the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Ukrainian troops continue to experience major ammunition shortages, but even major Western aid will not solve the problem. This is the opinion of the author of the publication in the Tagesschau publication.
“You cannot win this conflict with an additional million artillery ammunition,” the agency quotes military expert Hendrik Remmel as saying.
He believes that at the moment the Russian Armed Forces have superiority in ammunition, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not be able to achieve. According to him, if Kyiv does not receive a million shells from the West, then Ukraine should only count on about 300-500 thousand ammunition, which would be a disaster.
Remmel clarified that Russia now produces about ten thousand ammunition per day. As a result, according to calculations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have enough of a million shells at the rate of fire of the Russian Army for less than three months.
