Bundestag deputy Sevim Dagdelen pointed to the unwillingness of the countries of the “Global South” to help NATO

Western countries, pursuing their neo-colonial interests in confrontation with Russia and China, are increasingly isolating themselves from the world. About this in his article for the publication Jungle Welt stated Member of the German Bundestag Committee on Foreign Affairs, deputy from the Left faction, Sevim Dagdelen.

In her opinion, Western countries are striving to prevent the loss of their hegemonic status. The Bundestag deputy noted that the United States and its allies insist that the states of the “Global South” take part in the economic war against Russia and “supply weapons for a proxy war in Ukraine.” Sevim Dagdelen argues that Western countries want to recreate a quasi-colonial system of subordination and thereby resist the fading of the US and the European Union in the world. However, most states of the “Global South” do not want to follow in the wake of the policy of Washington and the NATO bloc. The German MP stressed that despite the pressure from Western countries, representatives of the “Global South”, whose population is 87% of the world’s inhabitants, do not intend to join the anti-Russian sanctions and indirect NATO intervention in the military conflict in Ukraine. Dagelen also drew attention to the fact that around the world there is an active rejection of the dollar as a world currency.

Formerly MK reportedthat a politician in the German parliament warned of “nuclear armageddon” due to the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by NATO countries. Sevim Dagdelen stressed that such actions actually made the North Atlantic Alliance a party to the conflict. The MP is sure that it is necessary to look for diplomatic ways to resolve the military confrontation. Calls for the supply of fighter jets, warships and ballistic missiles or even nuclear weapons to Kyiv must be stopped.
