German political scientist Wolf Merkel in an interview with a TV channel Spiegel TV stated that the numerical superiority of the Russian military would lead to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would run out of fighters before weapons.
He clarified that at the moment the problem of Kyiv is not in the amount of various weapons supplied by Western countries, but in the population and army.
Merkel added that on the side of the Russian Federation there is an advantage in numbers, which will ultimately lead to the fact that there will be no one else to fight on the side of Ukraine.
“Since we proceed from the fact that the North Atlantic Alliance will not intervene in this conflict with the participation of its military contingent, the issue of the size of the Ukrainian and Russian armies will be decisive,” the political scientist emphasized.
