German manufacturer of building materials Xella sold its only plant in Russia

The German company Xella Group, which produces building materials, has sold an enterprise in Russia – the manufacturer of autoclaved concrete “Istkult Mozhaisk”. The company was bought by the Alfigroup holding.
As reported TASS in the press service of the enterprise, the Istkult Mozhaisk plant (formerly Ksella-Aeroblock-Center) was the only legal entity of the Xella Group in Russia. “Istkult Mozhaisk” produces 500 thousand cubic meters. m of aerated concrete blocks per year.
Since 2007, the company has produced aerated concrete under the German brand Ytong, and since 2022 – under the Istkult brand. The new brand was developed for the construction of housing and industrial and civil facilities with increased requirements. According to Alfigroup Marketing Director Alexander Sudnev, Istkult is the only premium brand of autoclaved aerated concrete in Russia.
Alfigroup owns the Atakaycement, Uglegorsk-cement, Dorogobuzh-cement enterprises, the Voronezh building materials plant, the Eldako lime and chalk plant, the Bryansk silicate brick plant and the Klintsovsky silicate plant.
