German Defense Minister urged to help Kyiv even after publications about Nord Streams

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius believes that publications in the media on the topic of sabotage at the Nord Stream should not influence decisions on providing assistance to Ukraine. About this he informed on Deutschlandfunk radio.

The German defense ministry will not stop deliveries of military aid even after the publication of the investigations, which “certainly were prepared carefully and diligently,” Pistorius said. The Minister added that Europe needs to increase the industrial production of ammunition, because. after the start of support for Kyiv, the problem remained, and “an increase in the number of orders does not mean an increase in production.”

Pistorius emphasizedwho has read with great interest the new reports of explosions in pipelines, but believes that fraud in order to accuse pro-Ukrainian groups cannot be ruled out.

On March 7, The New York Times reported that new US intelligence data indicates the involvement of a certain pro-Ukrainian group in the explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines. Sources of the newspaper among American officials specified that Washington has no evidence of involvement in the bombings of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his subordinates.

On the same day, the German newspaper Zeit toldthat the investigation in Germany has identified a ship that may be involved in undermining the Nord Streams. According to the newspaper, the ship was rented in Poland, and the company that owns it belongs to two Ukrainians, who rented it out. Six people involved in the explosion used fake documents to rent a yacht, on which traces of explosives were found.

On March 8, the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, called “a coordinated stuffing in the media” new data about the explosions of the Nord Streams. In his opinion, “the authors of the attack want to divert attention.” The Russian authorities have repeatedly accused the US intelligence services of sabotage.
