The Russian Ministry of Defense in its Telegram channel reported that the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, in the zone of the special military operation, presented state awards to the military who distinguished themselves during the liberation of Marinka in the DPR.
“Military units of the Southern group of troops were awarded state awards. The medals “For Courage” and “For Bravery”, the Order of Courage, and the St. George Crosses of the 4th degree were presented to the distinguished military personnel by the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov,” the Ministry of Defense noted.
It is clarified that Gerasimov congratulated and thanked the military for their steadfastness, courage and professionalism. Among other things, he wished them to return home safe and sound.
