The head of the ruling party of Georgia, Kobakhidze, criticized Kyiv’s demand to block the assets of the Russian Federation
Ukraine’s calls to block Russian banking and other assets in Georgia look like an attempt to open a “second front” against Russia. This statement was made by the head of the ruling party “Georgian Dream” Irakli Kobakhidze.
“Arakhamia, Danilov, Podolyak urged us to open a second front, they are trying to provoke us into some kind of controversy,” Kobakhidze said.
He added that Tbilisi does not want to “enter into polemics” with Kiev, as Georgia “minds its own business.”
It is worth noting that earlier the head of the Servant of the People party, David Arakhamia, called on Tbilisi to freeze Russian funds in Georgian banks. He stated that Kyiv considered such an account for Ukraine “a manifestation of solidarity.”
