General Mordvichev: Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to conduct offensive operations until the end of summer

The counteroffensive of the armed forces of Ukraine will be completed by the end of the summer, by which time their forces suitable for conducting offensive operations will run out, Lieutenant General Andrei Mordvichev, commander of the Center grouping, said in an interview with the Soloviev Live channel.

“They have enough time for an offensive until the end of August, they will pull even before the end of August. Then there will be a short break. In the winter, they won’t achieve much of that. Well, by spring, I think it will all be over, ”said Mordvichev.

The general added that at present, the sponsors of the Kyiv regime are “investing fully”, providing Ukraine with everything that is possible.

“But it is already clear that these are elements of agony. Yesterday they used here, so to speak, the advertised 155-millimeter cluster munition. Mass use was, fire impact. But no definite result was achieved. There is no effect expected for the enemy for such ammunition. Noisy, dusty. Elementary old, antiquated methods of fortification save completely. And armor protection, emphasized Mordvichev.

Earlier, on July 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko declaredthat the Ukrainian counter-offensive failed. Putin noted that over the past 24 hours, a record number of equipment that foreign states supplied to Ukraine was destroyed in the special operation zone. According to Lukashenka, more than 15 Leopard tanks and over 20 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed in one battle.

According to Lukashenka, who referred to US data, Ukraine has lost 26,000 troops since the start of the counteroffensive.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine began active offensive operations on June 4. On June 9, Putin said that the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had definitely begun, but the Ukrainian army was not able to achieve its goals in any sector.
