On the night of February 28, explosions and fires occurred at several facilities in Tuapse and Belgorod. Among the versions is an attack by Ukrainian drones. Commenting on this information, State Duma Deputy Lieutenant General Andrei Gurulev in his Telegram channel named ways to combat Ukrainian drones.
According to him, our air defense system must be in full readiness. However, it is impossible to put an air defense complex on every important object. “It’s hard physically, it takes more time,” the general explained.
At the same time, according to him, enemy drone strikes “will be impossible when the Navstar (GPS) system stops working on Russian territory.” This American satellite navigation system is an analogue of the Russian GLONASS. If the GPS satellites “stop working, then these drones will not reach anywhere,” Gurulev noted.
In addition, according to him, it is necessary to think about creating your own global communications system around the world like Starlink. This is extremely necessary in the framework of the conduct of hostilities. The American Starlink satellite system has several thousand low-orbit satellites that provide Internet access around the globe. The Armed Forces of Ukraine actively use the capabilities of Starlink in the conduct of hostilities.
