Gazprom receives daily requests for gas supplies from Moldovagaz, reported press service of the Russian company. It is noted that Gazprom fulfills requests in full.
According to the company, gas is supplied through the Sudzha gas measuring station. On October 1, the media noted a decrease in the level of gas pumping at the Sudzha gas station. So, on September 30 it was 40.5 million cubic meters. m., and on October 1 – 37.9 million cubic meters. m.
Today, October 2, Moldavian Energy Minister Viktor Parlikov announced the cessation of purchases of Russian gas. According to him, Moldova bought gas on the European market at a lower price.
In September, the Moldovan authorities proposed to Gazprom to conclude a settlement agreement, according to which the Russian company and its structures would write off the debts of Moldovagaz. It is expected that in return Chisinau will guarantee the absence of lawsuits in connection with a reduction in supplies by $160 million, and will also pay Gazprom $153.57 million in compensation.
