The head of Gazprom Neft, Alexander Dyukov, reported that the company has shifted the repair work planned for September at the refinery, thereby continuing the production of fuel and its supply to the domestic market. He did not specify how long the repairs were delayed.
“If we talk about the situation that arose in September, the Gazprom Neft company responded quickly. We have made changes to the repair schedule. And, accordingly, we pushed back those repairs that were planned in September, which allowed us to continue producing motor fuels and supplying them to the domestic market,” Mr. Dyukov said on the TV channel “Russia 24” (quote from TASS).
The head of Gazprom Neft added that the company has increased the volume of sales of petroleum products through the exchange, fulfilled all obligations to agricultural producers and requests for additional supplies.
In September, the Ministry of Agriculture reported that Russian regions faced the threat of fuel shortages. This happened against the backdrop of rising prices and shutdowns for planned repairs of several refineries. To stabilize the situation on September 21, the government temporarily limited export of diesel fuel and gasoline. Today, October 6, the government reported on the approval of new measures, including the restoration of the fuel damper and the lifting of export restrictions.
