“Gazprom” has restored the pumping of gas through Ukraine to last year’s level

As of today, February 22, the volume of gas supplied by Gazprom through Ukraine has increased by 4.2% and reached 42.1 million, a representative of Gazprom told reporters. Russian gas supplies have fully returned to 2022 levels. Transportation is carried out through the gas measuring station (GIS) “Sudzha, Ukraine rejects the application for pumping through the GIS “Sohranivka”, which is not controlled by Kyiv.
In May 2022 Ukraine refused to resume gas transit through Sokhranivka until control over the system is regained. A third of Russia’s gas supplies to Europe passed through this GIS. After that, the volume of Russian gas pumped to Europe decreased, now it comes only through Ukraine and Turkey. In 2023, Gazprom for the first time increased pumping on February 1st.
