The heads of the G7 countries adopted a joint statement, from which it follows that the G7 members are planning to take new measures to reduce Russia’s income from energy exports.
The document, adopted on Friday at the Hiroshima summit, states that the G7 countries will base the new measures on those already in place, including the ceiling on prices for oil and petroleum products.
G7 (Group of Seven, “Group of Seven”, or, as it is called in Russia, “Big Seven”) is an informal international club that includes Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, USA, France and Japan. From 1997 to 2014, the organization also included Russia.
