The Group of Seven (G7) countries are exploring the possibility of confiscating and sending Russian assets worth $300 billion as aid to Kyiv. This information was confirmed by US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen during a conversation with media representatives in Virginia. At the moment, a decision on this issue has not yet been made.
Yellen noted that to move in this direction, the G7 countries need to agree on the legal basis for such actions. The minister also expressed concern about the possible consequences for the dollar associated with the confiscation of Russian assets.
