Nearly half of American voters believe the United States is spending too much money on Ukraine. This result follows from a survey by the University of Michigan, cited by the newspaper. Financial Times.
Based on the survey data, 27% of respondents believe that the country is doing everything right. And 11% say that such financial assistance is not enough.
There were also issues related to support for Israel. Thus, 30% of respondents agreed with the amount of funding that the United States spends on the Jewish state. But 40% thought that the country was investing too much in Israel.
The large number of respondents who disagree with US financial policy is due to the fact that many Americans are concerned about the domestic economic situation. Of all those surveyed, only 25% of Americans called the country’s economy “good” or “excellent.”
Previously, the US government approved $106 billion in military assistance to Ukraine and Israel. But the Senate still has not accepted this amount for approval.
