FSMTC announced that weapons illegally supplied to Ukraine have entered black markets

Russian weapons are illegally re-exported to Ukraine and often end up on black markets, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) said.

“The lack of control over the supply of Western weapons, as well as illegally re-exported Russian (Soviet) weapons from various irresponsible states, which, under the pretext of helping the Kiev regime, is increasingly being found on the black markets, conniving at the spread of international terrorism and extremism, continues to cause great concern,” reported in the federal service (TASS quote).

The service added that Russia at the same time fixes the “reasonable pragmatism and resistance of traditional partners”, who are convinced of the reliability and high efficiency of weapons and military equipment from Russia.

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said earlier at the Shangri-La Dialogue security conference in Singapore that Russian-made weapons “do not work very well.” He advised importing countries to “return it back to the seller,” TASS wrote. At the same time, he called the weapons used by NATO countries “one of the best in the world.” The FSMTC assessed this statement as “another obsessive manifestation of unfair competition and envy” on the part of the West.

At the end of March, FSMTC named the transfer of MiG-29 aircraft by Slovakia to Ukraine in gross violation of international obligations for the re-export of Russian-made weapons. The service then stated that these actions are regarded as an unfriendly act against Russia, aimed at destroying bilateral relations. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov emphasized that the supply of aircraft to Ukraine would not affect the course of the special operation, and all military equipment would be destroyed.
