FSB stopped sabotage on the section of the railway in Yugra

The FSB of Russia stopped sabotage on the section of the Sverdlovsk railway in Nizhnevartovsk, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, transmits TASS.
The regional department of the special services said that a man who was caught red-handed, opposing the conduct of a special operation in Ukraine, planned to disable relay metal cabinets designed to accommodate the equipment of railway automation and telemechanics systems.
“A resident of Nizhnevartovsk acquired the funds necessary to implement the plan and advanced to a section of the Sverdlovsk railway that he had previously designated, where he was caught red-handed by RUFSB operatives,” the FSB said.
A criminal case against the detainee was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 30 h. 1 tbsp. 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation for a crime and attempted sabotage).
February 21 court delivered the first verdict in the case of sabotage since the beginning of the special operation. The Belgorod Regional Court sentenced two defendants accused of preparing sabotage on the way of the movement of military trains in the region to 3.5 years in a strict regime colony. According to investigators, they were going to damage a section of the railway near the village of Tomarovka in the Belgorod region. The investigation also believes that the defendants sent information about the military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces who took part in the special operation to the Ukrainian website “Peacemaker”.
February 15, FSB officers in the Moscow region detained a resident of Ukraine, who is suspected of committing two acts of sabotage at railway facilities on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services. The detainee was recruited by the SBU in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz with the participation of the Polish special services, the investigation believes.
