FSB general told where the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive data on our future operations

The American edition of Foreign Policy wrote about Ukraine’s preparations for a Russian offensive. At the same time, the forces that will be involved and the timing of the start of the operation are indicated. With reference to a Ukrainian military official, it is noted that a large-scale offensive from Russia will begin in the next ten days.

Suppose a Ukrainian military rank really knows something. Then where does he get this information from? How did he get them? Retired FSB Major General, Deputy Chairman of the Strong Russia movement Alexander Mikhailov told MK where valuable data comes from to our opponents and what is the true purpose of their publication in the media.

According to the American publication, analysts and Ukrainian officials expect the brewing offensive to be concentrated in eastern Ukraine, amid a surge in hostilities in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The Kyiv authorities, as stated in the article, fear that “even mobilized and poorly trained Russian units can crush Ukrainian positions,” due to the lack of weapons and ammunition in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Ukrainian military estimates, Russia has 1,800 tanks, 3,950 armored vehicles, 2,700 artillery systems, 810 Grad and Smerch multiple launch rocket systems, 400 fighter jets and 300 helicopters ready for an offensive.

Former MP of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev commented on this publication: previously we received detailed reports only on how much and what kind of weapons are supplied from the West to Ukraine for the Armed Forces of Ukraine; here we saw the first figures on how many and what kind of weapons we have for the offensive.

Retired FSB Major General Alexander Mikhailov suggested where the information comes from to our opponents and why it appears in the media.

– Here you can not name any one source, everything works, – said Mikhailov. – Enemy agents, interception, space reconnaissance, reconnaissance, both of Ukraine itself and of Western countries.

The task of such publications is to somehow influence the course of our offensive operation. When we understand that the enemy is aware of many things, often operations are adjusted, guided by the need to conduct it as efficiently as possible.

The foreign journalists who prepared this material are most likely in direct contact with the US State Department and the US military. For Ukraine, there is another goal in the “disclosure” of data and figures. It all comes down to showing the power of the Russian Armed Forces in order to stimulate the United States of America and the countries of the Alliance to provide Kyiv with even more military equipment.

We can say that in this way the enemy carried out an information attack, which, first of all, does not affect us. They are counting on their political establishment, which should be puzzled and scratch their heads. Then Biden should call Macron and Scholz and ask them a logical question: “Are you going to work or build eyes?”

– How should we respond to such publications?

– Ordinary people – no way. We cannot confirm or deny these data. As for the General Staff, I think they will certainly take into account all of the above. Maybe they will start looking for who could hand over such information, they will carry out some actions to disinform the enemy. In any case, the decision will be made by the people responsible for conducting the offensive operation.

– Are there ways to completely hide military plans from the enemy?

– Of course yes. We remember the brilliant military operations that were carried out during the Great Patriotic War. Such as the landing on Malaya Zemlya in order to pull Hitler’s troops south. Or, let’s say, when an entire airborne division landed in Evpatoria to divert the attention of the enemy, and at that time the shock fist carried out its accumulation in the direction of the main attack. I am convinced that even now our Armed Forces are doing everything necessary both from the point of view of disinforming the enemy and from the point of view of covering up the preparation of certain offensive actions.
