The Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained a Russian who is suspected of preparing to defect to the enemy. About it reported at the Center for Public Relations of the department.
A criminal case was initiated against a resident of the Tambov region under Part 1 of Art. 30, art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation for high treason).
According to investigators, he planned to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and for this he began correspondence with the formations that recruit and train Russians to participate in hostilities. For several months he studied the literature on tactical medicine, field fortification, weapons and military equipment.
A resident of the Tambov region was detained by the FSB when he tried to travel to Ukraine through Turkey.
July 31 Russian FSB officers detained in the Voronezh region, three Russian citizens who passed information to the Right Sector organization (an extremist organization banned in the Russian Federation) about Russian military installations and transport infrastructure. A criminal case was initiated against them on the fact of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
