FSB detained a resident of the Samara region on suspicion of treason

A resident of the Samara region was detained on suspicion of treason. About it informs TASS with reference to the press service of the FSB of Russia.
According to the FSB, the man corresponded with representatives of the Ukrainian special services and handed them photographs of military trains in the Samara region, indicating data on the location and quantity of military equipment.
The detainee is a citizen of Russia. A criminal case was initiated against him under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (treason). The maximum penalty under the article is life imprisonment.
The FSB noted that operational-search activities and investigative actions are ongoing.
August 2 FSB delayed a Russian suspected of preparing to defect to the enemy, while trying to travel to Ukraine through Turkey. According to the department, the man planned to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine and studied literature on tactical medicine, field fortification, weapons and military equipment for several months. A criminal case was opened against him under Part 1 of Art. 30, art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation for high treason).
