FSB announced the suppression of an attempt to organize a channel for the sale of weapons in the DPR

FSB officers stopped an attempt to organize a channel for the sale of weapons and ammunition in the DPR. This was reported in the press service of the FSB in the region, transmits TASS.

The detainees arrived at the zone of the special operation in order to illegally sell weapons and ammunition there. During the search, one of the detainees was found with four assault rifles, an F-1 grenade, a modernized universal fuse for a hand grenade (UZRGM), magazines and cartridges for a Kalashnikov assault rifle.

A criminal case was initiated against the detainees on the fact of illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons (part 5 of article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The maximum punishment under this article provides for imprisonment for up to 12 years.

On August 22, in the Rostov region, FSB officers detained man while trying to buy a secret military product for its subsequent resale. A criminal case was initiated against him under Art. 283.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal obtaining of information constituting a state secret). The maximum penalty under this article is eight years in prison.

In April, the FSB informed about the detention in the Belgorod region of two people who intended to sell Kalashnikov assault rifles bought from the Russian military, a criminal case was opened against them under Part 2 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
