FSB announced the prevention of a terrorist attack in Kaluga

FSB officers prevented a terrorist attack at a critical infrastructure facility in Kaluga. This was reported in the press service of the department.
The preparation of the attack was carried out by a supporter of the Ukrainian national association “Azov” (recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in the Russian Federation). According to the FSB, after the attack, he planned to leave for the territory of Ukraine, where he wanted to take part in hostilities on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee on the fact of preparations for treason (part 1 of article 30, article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), for a terrorist attack (part 1 of article 30, part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), participation in terrorist activities organization (Part 2, Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and training for the purposes of terrorism (Article 205.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
During the searches, FSB officers found components and components of an improvised explosive device (IED) in the cache, and instructions for their manufacture and correspondence with the Ukrainian coordinator in the communications equipment used. The detainee pleaded guilty.
