FSB officers prevented a terrorist attack against one of the leaders of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, informed “Interfax” with reference to the press service of the department. Preparations for it were carried out with the participation of agents of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It is specified that the sabotage group included four people. Preparations for the attack were coordinated both directly through recruiting agent Viktoria Budnikova and employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine Oleksandr Umansky and Andriy Nikulin, and through an intermediary – Yulia Tkachuk, who is now in Finland.
During the arrest, an explosive device prepared for use, as well as an automatic small arms weapon with ammunition for it, were seized. Members of the group collected information about the location of military facilities, the deployment of the Russian military, law enforcement agencies, etc.
Two people were arrested. The investigation department of the Federal Security Service of the Zaporizhia region opened a criminal case against them on the fact of preparing for a terrorist attack (part 3 of article 30 and paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
