Retired Foreign Legion General Michel Yakovleff suggested that the Armed Forces of Ukraine bomb military parades on May 9 in Russia, the Military Review writes.
According to the Frenchman, the defeat of the Russian Federation in Ukraine would have crossed out the victory of the USSR over Germany in 1945.
Earlier, Yakovleff has repeatedly spoken about Russia in a negative way. In August of this year, he called for sending NATO troops to fight in Ukraine against the Russian Armed Forces, because it would take too long to train Ukrainians.
In France, the general’s statements were criticized, believing that the actions he proposed would meet the interests of Washington and Kyiv, but not France.
On December 10, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, speaking on the air of the NTA television agency, said that Kyiv allows strikes against Russian territories.
Earlier, the Kremlin stated that “pumping Ukraine with weapons in various formats does not contribute to success in Russian-Ukrainian negotiations” and “will have a negative effect.”
On December 8, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov, on the air of the Rossiya-24 TV channel, said that NATO countries are increasingly drawn into the conflict in Ukraine, and the United States is deliberately heading for escalation in this direction.
