French authorities are deploying up to 7,000 Sentinelle troops following an attack on a school in the northern city of Arras that left a teacher dead and others wounded. About this with reference to the statement of the Elysee Palace reports BFMTV.
“By Monday evening and until further notice, up to 7,000 Sentinelle forces will be deployed,” the television station reported.

It was previously reported that the Gambetta-Carnot secondary school in Arras in northern France was attacked with a knife on October 13 by an unknown person. As a result, a literature teacher was killed and another teacher and a security guard were injured.
According to the TV channel, the attacker was a 20-year-old young man who had previously studied at this school. When attacked, he shouted “Allahu Akbar.” He is currently detained. According to BFMTV, the young man is included in the list of alleged radicals of the French Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Against the backdrop of what is happening, the French Ministers of the Interior and National Education, Gerald Dermanin and Gabriel Attal, demanded that security around educational institutions be strengthened. French President Emmanuel Macron went to the scene of the incident. The French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the attack on the school.
