France and China coordinated their position on the conflict in Ukraine and agreed to jointly insist that the crisis be resolved peacefully. It is reported by the South Chinas Morning Post.

It is noted that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and diplomatic adviser to French President Emmanuel Macron Emmanuel Bonn came to an agreement during a telephone conversation.

It is also reported that the parties agreed to “consistently accumulate and create conditions for the start of a political settlement.”

The telephone conversation took place a few days after the end of the trip of Chinese Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui, who visited Moscow, Kyiv, Warsaw, Paris and Berlin.
