According to the channel, on the morning of the terrorist attack, Trepova removed a magnet from the bottom of the figurine, which insures the explosive device from accidental detonation and does not allow it to be activated remotely.
At the same time, it follows from Trepova’s correspondence with her curator that after transferring the figurine stuffed with explosives through the delivery service, she received a message with instructions to bring the IED into working condition.
“When you hand the statuette to Vladlen Tatarsky, do not forget to remove the magnet from it,” the channel quotes the message sent to Trepova.
