Former Austrian Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache told a rally in Vienna on Saturday that Europe had been “looking away” from the conflict in Ukraine for years. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Strache believes that now European politicians “do not take steps to achieve peace.”
“Europe has been ‘averting its eyes’ from the conflict in Ukraine for many years, meanwhile, they are now trying not to remember its prerequisites,” he stressed.
According to him, the society is observing the supply of weapons, sanctions policy and escalation in the issue of Ukraine.
Earlier, the European Union posted a video on its website in which European Commissioner for Justice and Rule of Law Didier Reynders said that the confiscation of the assets of Russian businessmen in the European Union would be carried out on the basis of criminal charges of circumventing restrictions.
According to the European Commissioner, the EU will discuss ways to bring to justice those who are “responsible for war crimes in Ukraine.”
Earlier, the European Commission developed a directive that defines a list of actions to circumvent sanctions that are considered crimes.
