In the event of a direct clash between the North Atlantic Alliance and the Russian Federation, NATO will suffer a crushing defeat in the shortest possible time. This was announced by former US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter in an interview with the YouTube channel Danny Haiphong.
“In the American army, everything is built on the exchange of a huge flow of information. <…> Our platoon commanders operate on the front line using a laptop,” the expert said.
He clarified that during combat operations, the military uses computers to send reports to commanders, who, in turn, forward them to groups of people sitting in a bunker and managing these actions.
In addition, Ritter added that the United States in this case will need aircraft that relay communications for the ideal operation of electronic equipment. According to the ex-intelligence officer, in the event of a collision with Russia, all communications will be jammed.
The expert concluded that due to the loss of communication, NATO armies would not be able to attack targets due to lack of communication.
