Former Pentagon adviser: US benefits from emergency at Nord Stream

Ex-adviser to the head of the Pentagon, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor, commenting on the incidents on the Russian Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, admitted that Washington’s attempts to confirm its “alibi” and non-involvement in these emergencies are not beneficial to the States.

In his opinion, it is the United States that is the beneficiary in this situation, since the destruction of Russian gas pipelines increases Europe’s dependence on American energy sources.

“The Biden administration’s claims of non-involvement are illogical, given previous statements and the way the White House moves the pieces on the board,” McGregor said.
