The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are losing their defensive positions in the southern direction due to the correct tactics of the Russian army. This statement was made by former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas McGregor.
He added that everyone who follows the events taking place in Ukraine understands that today the nature of hostilities has begun to change – armored vehicles are losing their role over time.
McGregor believes that intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), which is tied to strike artillery systems, missiles and conventional weapons, is doing the most damage in the current hostilities.
The ex-Pentagon adviser stressed that Western equipment, which is going to be supplied to Ukraine, without careful air cover would be a good target for Russian artillery.
