Former head of KFOR General Mini doubted the victory promised to Ukrainians

Former commander of the International Security Forces in Kosovo under the auspices of NATO (KFOR), retired Italian General Fabio Mini said that the expected offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot be large-scale.
“You get the impression that Ukrainians are in a difficult situation,” he said, adding that he could not otherwise announce the political activity of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his many foreign trips. According to Mini, all this is not very consistent with the assurances that Ukraine allegedly wins in the conflict.
The Italian general called the hypothetical victory promised to the Ukrainians unlikely. He also noted that the West does little to back up its promises, many of which are given in the long term.
In particular, he said that talk about the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine had nothing to do with the upcoming counteroffensive.
He also noted that the West promised Kyiv military assistance up to $53 billion, but actually provided $8 billion as of December last year.
“Therefore, in all these international meetings of Zelensky, I see a clear sign of fear of not holding out,” the general explained.
