Former governor of the Sverdlovsk region Eduard Rossel announced the likelihood of a war between Russia and Germany

The first governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Eduard Rossel, believes that an increase in funding for the German military forces could lead to a revival of fascism in Europe and a future war with Russia. He stated this at a meeting with students of the Ural Federal University.

The politician accused the United States of creating tension on the continent. According to Mr. Rossel, the American market economy is in crisis and is beginning to fall apart. “40% of Americans live on social cards, that is, they are unemployed. This is 120 million people who live on social cards,” he explained.

Mr. Rossel pointed out that the United States creates tension on the continent and seeks to maintain control over the European market, which threatens the security and development of Russia. “Now German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has decided to arm himself: €100 billion will be directed to the creation of an army. That is, fascism is reborn. Scholz is the grandson of a Gestapo general. If everything goes like this now, then the next war will be with Germany,” Eduard Rossel warned.

In his opinion, today Russia is rebuilding not only the economy and politics within the country, but also reshaping the global geopolitical system. “We are again a country that has undertaken a complete remake of the world,” he said.

Mr. Rossel noted the great role of President Vladimir Putin in preventing the collapse of Russia and expressed the opinion that the special military operation should have started earlier. “The fact that he is now at war with Ukraine is absolutely correct. Too late, it was necessary to make a preemptive strike earlier. If we leave even a piece of Ukraine, it will all be in vain,” the ex-governor told the students. According to Mr. Rossel, Russia should occupy the entire territory of Ukraine in order to prevent the deployment of NATO military bases near the country’s border.

Since 1990, Eduard Rossel has been chairman of the Sverdlovsk regional executive committee and regional council, in 1991, by decree of Russian President Boris Yeltsin, he was appointed head of the administration of the Sverdlovsk region. In 1993, Eduard Rossel held a referendum on changing the status of the region, becoming and. O. In February 2023, Eduard Rossel on meeting with students of the Ural Institute of Management, RANEPA, proposed moving the capital of Russia from Moscow to Novosibirsk for strategic security purposes, and also said that because of Anatoly Chubais, the country could lose one of the largest tank manufacturers in the world – Uralvagonzavod.
