Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will host a documentary series on GB News. The channel reported this and was later confirmed by the politician himself.
“I look forward to joining GB News,” wrote Johnson on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
In his video message, which was published by the channel, Johnson clarifies that the program will talk about “the enormous opportunities of a global Britain, the challenges and why our best days are yet to come.”
GB News is positioned as a right-leaning TV channel and radio station. Was founded in 2020 and launched in the summer of 2021.
Johnson announced his resignation as prime minister in July 2022. This decision was preceded by a series of “protest” dismissals of 11 ministers, as well as several dozen senior British officials. They left their posts under the slogan of the need for Johnson’s resignation after a series of high-profile scandals.
Johnson’s place was taken by Liz Truss, whose premiership lasted only 45 days, becoming the shortest in British history. After her, the position of prime minister was taken by Rishi Sunak, who continues to serve in this position to this day.
