NATO is simulating cyber attacks on state institutions in the Kaliningrad region and the Moscow energy system during the exercises, declared in an interview with TASS, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov.
“The British are systematically aiming their offensive information capabilities at Russia. On a regular basis, exercises are held, including under the auspices of NATO, to practice strikes using ICT on Russian critical information infrastructure facilities,” the diplomat noted, adding that cyber strikes are being practiced on state institutions in the Kaliningrad region and Moscow’s energy systems.
According to him, the UK is systematically working to promote Russophobia on the Internet, “black out the truth” about Russia’s foreign policy in the Western information field.
At the end of December 2022 Syromolotov declaredthat NATO is distributing digital weapons through Ukraine, such actions are fraught with consequences for the whole world. He noted that today the threats that Ukraine creates in the information field are “universal”.
