Foreign Affairs noted the high efficiency of missile strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities

Russian missile strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure have proven their effectiveness beyond any doubt. This is reported by Foreign Affairs columnist Barry Posen.
According to the analyst, the Russian leadership is well aware of what it is doing. Strikes against energy infrastructure facilities are carried out with a small number of weapons, but lead to significant results.
Thus, by disabling the energy infrastructure, Russia deprives Ukraine of normally functioning air defense systems, communications and control, and intelligence gathering. The transition to power supply from generators significantly reduces the effectiveness of the work of these units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are forced to throw all the air defense forces to protect the objects. The West also spends a lot of money on the supply of anti-aircraft missile systems, missiles and generators, when it could spend them on other purposes.
