Forbes: Russian “Pole-21” suppresses M982 Excalibur precision projectiles in Ukraine

Russian Pole-21 electronic warfare systems show high effectiveness in countering American M982 Excalibur precision projectiles.
Expert, associate professor of systems engineering at the US Military Academy, Vikram Mittal, notes in his article for Forbes magazine that the specified Russian system suppresses the GPS signals necessary to launch Excalibur projectiles. As a result, the projectiles change their course without reaching the intended target.
According to Mittal, the Russian army demonstrates technological superiority over the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This not only leads to the destruction of many Ukrainian drones, but also ensures the effective and often unhindered use of Russian drones.
The expert also notes the successful use of the Lancet loitering munition by the Russian armed forces. These highly accurate and compact drones, according to Mittal, are difficult to detect due to the use of an unpredictable flight path, which complicates counteraction from Ukraine. It was previously reported that the Pole-21 and Zhitel complexes also successfully suppress signals from GPS and other satellite channels, and also prevent the actions of kamikaze drones.
