The Sindika group of companies of the senator from Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov bought the network of premium retailers Globus Gourmet of the restaurateur Arkady Novikov and the owner of Pinskiy & Co Anton Pinsky, informs Forbes with reference to Pinsky.

The deal included three Moscow grocery stores located in the Hymeney, Vremena Goda and Premier shopping centers, as well as one Globus Gourmet Express at Sheremetyevo Airport. Novikov and Pinsky remained in the company, but their shares became minority. The chain of retailers will now be managed by the Sindiki team. The amount of the transaction is not disclosed.

Egor Solomatin, vice-president of Sindika, told Forbes that the deal was closed on August 15, and there are no plans to rebrand the chain. He also clarified that the company is ready to invest in the future in opening new Globus Gourmet outlets in million-plus cities, but no more than five supermarkets a year.

Globus Gourmet was founded by former top manager of Sberbank Lev Khasis together with Arkady Novikov. In 2004, the restaurateur acquired the French network of gastronomic boutiques Hediard, while Khasis received a license to open Fauchon boutiques. The entrepreneurs decided to jointly manage projects and develop a new retail chain Globus Gourmet.
