The Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Russia have softened the conditions for the transfer of dividends to residents of unfriendly countries. Payments can be made without restrictions, subject to investment in the Russian economy. This decision was made by the subcommittee on foreign investment, the Finance Ministry said. The amount of dividends should not exceed capital investments, follows from the extract of the decision of the subcommittee signed by Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev.
Investments in the Russian economy starting from April 1, 2023 will be taken into account – we are talking about expanding production volumes and developing new technologies. At the same time, for the distribution of profits, the approval of the subcommittee will still need to be approved, follows from the document.
